Hi, I’m Akshita!
I'm a graduate student in the Social and Personality Psychology program at York University in the Sexual Health and Relationships (SHaRe) Lab, supervised by Dr. Amy Muise.
My research explores how people’s beliefs about what makes a good sex life are connected to why they have sex, especially when experiencing sexual challenges in relationships.
Ultimately, I hope to learn about how people who struggle to maintain satisfying romantic relationships can better navigate differences and conflict and achieve greater well-being.
Outside of research, I love spending time with friends, rewatching my favourite TV shows, tending to my plant collection, and attending comedy shows.
